Graduate Assignments for Splendid Little Wars
Graduate Assignments MA Students: MA students will take the pre and post test like all other students enrolled in Splendid Little Wars. They will also participate in the practical exercise on July 24, 2003; However, they will be excused from the Take Home Examination. Instead, they will be expected to write a comprehensive bibliographical essay over four books of approximately ten pages in length due on August 15. The works may come from the books assigned for the class or a combination of those and some from the reading list found on the website. If you do not know how to write the review essay use the hyperlink which will help. MAT Students: MAT students will take the pre and post test, participate in the practical exercise on July 24, take the take home examination, write a critical book review over two of four books of no more than five pages in length, and develop a unit plan for teaching low intensity conflicts or wars of imperialism. Make sure to include an essay explaining what you plan to do as well as sample test questions, books and articles you may recommend, the types of assignments you may use, and how you will employ technology in the classroom.
