    1. What were the common elements of the Revolutions of 1848 in France, Italy, Germany, and the Habsburg Domains?
    2. What were the critical reasons that best explain the collapse of the July Monarchy in France in 1848? Where did Louis Philippe go wrong? What were the political divisions taking place in France at the time?
    3. What was the response to the economic downturn in France in 1848? Was it similar to Roosevelt’s response during the Great Depression? Explain.
    4. How did Louis Napoleon Bonaparte gain control of France? Why did the French support Bonaparte?
