Today in History:

On October 2, 1780, Major John André, a British spy associated with Benedict Arnold, was executed on this day in history.

Quote of the Day:

"In my view we are much worse off now than when we went into Iraq. This is not a partisan position. I voted for these guys."

A senior figure at a military-sponsored think tank as told to James Fallows in "Bush's Lost Year" in The Atlantic Monthly (Oct. 2004)

Class Organization

Organization:

The class is an online class and will be organized into learning communities where all the students will meet together once every two weeks online in the virtual classroom. The learning community is small enough, five or six students, that their learning communities will be able to interact effectively with the instructor at the assigned time. Graduate students and undergraduates will meet separately, but all students wil  have to be flexible in order to make this run smoothly. See the flow chart for how the course will work.

Times:

Students will select times that fit their special needs; however, if possible be flexible so that we can all get together and discuss good books, great films, and the course of World War II.

            Mondays – 7:00 to 7:50; 8:00 to 8:50

            Wednesdays – 7:00 to 7:50; 8:00 to 8:50

             Thursdays  -- 7:00 to 7:50; 8:00 to 8:50
